The City of Liverpool College is launching a drive to attract jobseekers to the city’s logistics sector at Visitor Economy Week.
The college has partnered with Abacus UK Training, Northwest Education and Training and several others on the initiative which seeks to recruit unemployed people and train them to become lorry or bus drivers.
The initiative, which works alongside the Department for Works and Pensions and Merseytravel, has taken 250 people out of employment after they passed their driving tests and joined the logistics sector.
The launch will take place on 7th February at 8am at the driving test centre in Liverpool.
