ArrowXL has completed the expansion of its Wigan warehouse. £1.7 million was spent on a new high bay pallet racking system at the site.
The new racking is 15 metres high and incorporates 17,000 pallet spaces. The company also installed upgraded flooring, high-tech lighting installations and sprinkler systems.
“The completion of this substantial investment project ensures we can now offer an increased number of warehousing and fulfilment opportunities to leading retailers, manufacturers and their associated suppliers,” said Ian Howell, chief executive, ArrowXL. “We are committed to supporting the local economy and we thank Ms. Nandy for taking the time to visit our premises.”
The extension, which is set to generate 50 new jobs for the area, was visited by local MP Lisa Nandy last week.
