Swedish property company Catena AB has signed a letter of intent to acquire 20 logistics properties in Sweden, Denmark and Finland from an unnamed “leading Nordic actor”.
The properties, with a total value of around SEK 9 billion (£720m), corresponding to c. 600 000m2 of lettable area. Most of this area is in Sweden (72%) and Finland (25%).
According to Catena, the portfolio consists of “modern, high-quality properties situated in attractive logistic areas with well-known tenants.” The average unexpired lease term is around 11 years.
“Catena is a long-term logistic property company with growth ambitions. We always see great potential to add more high-quality properties to our portfolio and with this opportunity for acquisition we also see an excellent way to expand in Finland, which is an interesting new market for us”, said Catena CEO, Jörgen Eriksson.
Catena said the intention is for an acquisition agreement to be concluded in the second half of February 2026, following customary due diligence. Closing is expected to take place on 1 April 2026.
The proposed acquisition is expected to be financed by existing liquidity and new debt through established funding sources.
