Third-party logistics provider, CEVA, has announced plans to deploy warehouse and order management systems from Manhattan Associates.
CEVA will use the cloud-based tools as part of a global strategy aimed at using technology to better address the shifting and varied needs of its international customer base.
Headquartered in France, CEVA manages more than 11 million m2 of warehouse space across 800 sites globally. Deployment of Manhattan Associates’ WMS and OMS will begin at select locations across North America and Europe, before rolling out to further locations globally.
Ultimately Manhattan systems will run at “more than half” of CEVA’s contract logistics sites, with most of the remaining sites using CEVA’s Matrix® systems.
Chris Walton, senior vice president of global contract logistics at CEVA explained that the ability to add new technologies plays a major role in driving its business forward.
“This latest deliverable on our longer-term strategy ensures we are perfectly placed to accelerate the deployment of the latest advances in data, AI, wearables, cobots and other solutions for the maximum benefit to our customer,” he said.
Manhattan Associates CEO, Eric Clark, highlighted the synergies between the two companies, noting that both Manhattan and CEVA “place innovation and customers at the core of everything we do”.
The technological innovation will help CEVA “stay ahead of competitors, react to global events and turn challenges into opportunities in the fast-moving world of third-party logistics and supply chain,” he added.
