DHL Supply Chain has launched its newest logistics center in Halle (Saale), establishing the company’s third site in the area.
Fully operational and integrated into the broader DHL Leipzig-Halle Campus, the site offers a total warehouse area of 34,000m² (c. 365,000ft²).
It has the capacity to accommodate up to 55,000 pallet spaces, and is designed to meet the evolving needs of customers across various sectors.
The Halle logistics center includes three operational halls, each spanning 10,500m² (c. 113,000ft²), and is equipped with 27 loading docks.
The site is built to DGNB Gold sustainability standards and features photovoltaic systems and energy-efficient LED lighting, reflecting DHL’s goals to support customers with emission reduced logistics services.
The site currently employs more than 450 people, with an additional 100 jobs to be created once the extension building is fully utilised.
