Evri has agreed a two-year extension to its long-standing delivery partnership with Debenhams Group, the online retail group behind Debenhams, PrettyLittleThing, boohoo, boohooMAN and Karen Millen.
The announcement follows Competition and Markets Authority approval of Evri’s proposed merger with DHL eCommerce UK and comes after Evri reportedly handled a record 807 million parcels in its most recent financial year.
Under the expanded deal, Evri will be one of Debenhams Group’s key delivery partners as the retailer scales its marketplace model, aiming to provide faster and more secure deliveries across its brands.
Customers will also gain access to Evri’s expanding out-of-home options, with the carrier investing £50m in a locker strategy that will more than double its ParcelShop and locker network to 25,000 locations by 2030.
“This is an exciting time for Evri, as we invest in doubling our ParcelShop and locker network by 2030, as well as the announcement of our proposed merger with DHL eCommerce UK,” said David Saenz, chief commercial officer at Evri.
“It is particularly special for us that we can continue to strengthen our long-term client relationships.”
Dan Finley, chief executive officer at Debenhams Group, said: “Today’s shoppers expect speed, flexibility and full visibility when it comes to receiving their items.
“As we continue to scale our marketplace model, we’re delighted to extend this partnership with Evri, giving customers greater choice and convenience as they shop thousands of brands at Debenhams Group.”
Evri said the renewal builds on other strategic moves in 2025, including the acquisition of Irish customs clearance and logistics specialist Coll-8, as it targets greater capacity and convenience in the UK parcel market.
