Indurent, one of the UK’s leading providers of industrial and logistics warehousing, has secured a resolution to grant planning permission for a new 655,000ft2 (61,000m2) industrial logistics development in South Staffordshire.
This resolution is a formal decision by a local planning authority indicating its intention to approve a planning application, but it is not the final decision.
The new logistics hub, which is expected to start construction in 2028, will be located on land close to Junction 16 of the M6 motorway in Staffordshire. It will be delivered across two phases, with Phase 1 due for completion in 2028 and Phase 2 in 2030.
Once operational, the development is expected to create almost 900 jobs in the local area.
Josh Coldicott, senior planning manager at Indurent said the development marks “a major step” in the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable logistics space in key UK regions.
“It will create hundreds of jobs, boost Staffordshire’s local economy, and provide modern, environmentally responsible facilities for our customers,” he added.
The logistics scheme is part of a wider £800m investment in Staffordshire through which Indurent is delivering or promoting around 6mft2 of space. In May, the company submitted a planning application for the new logistics and employment hub near the M6.
Indurent was launched in July 2024 following the integration of St. Modwen Logistics and Industrials REIT. The company reported in August that it achieved 18% portfolio growth and made more than £1bn of investment in its first year of trading.
