The first two InPost Lockers have been installed at UK Post Office branches, marking the start of a partnership that aims to transform how consumers send and receive parcels nationwide.
The lockers, located at the Stanley (Ilkeston, Derbyshire) and Lanesfield (Wolverhampton) Post Office branches, are the first of several hundred sites that will host InPost Lockers as part of a six-month nationwide trial.
The partnership means consumers can send, receive and return parcels at their local Post Office, even when it is closed, offering greater choice, flexibility and convenience to communities across the UK.
CEO and founder of the InPost Group, Rafał Brzoska, said: “Partnering with the Post Office, a historic institution at the heart of communities across the UK, marks a major step forward in our mission to make parcel delivery easier and more accessible for everyone.”
InPost delivered 93.2 million parcels in the UK in 2024, double the volume from 2023.
Neil Brocklehurst, CEO at Post Office, explained the network is taking its first step in the locker market with InPost. “We will evaluate this trial, and in particular the benefits it has brought to our postmasters and their branches.”
Last year, the Post Office announced it was rolling out a network of lockers for parcel drop offs.
