Noatum Ports has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Al Dahra Agriculture, to explore joint investment opportunities to boost Egypt’s logistics ecosystem through its Safaga Terminal.
The collaboration focuses on providing warehousing and storage, customs clearance, and supply chain digitalisation to support Egypt’s agricultural and trade sectors.
It is expected to “enhance agricultural supply chains, strengthen food security and promote sustainable growth in Egypt’s fast-developing regions,” according to a statement.
“By working together, we can unlock greater efficiencies, integrate advanced logistics solutions and deliver seamless connections from farm to global markets,” said Raouf Tawfik, CEO of Al Dahra North Africa.
“This partnership not only supports our commitment to sustainable growth and food security in Egypt but also enhances the competitiveness of our nation’s exports on the international stage.”
AbdulAziz Al Balooshi, regional CEO Africa & Asia – Noatum Ports, the international arm of AD Ports Group added: “This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting Egypt’s logistics ecosystem and fostering growth within key industrial and agricultural sectors.”
In 2023, Noatum Ports signed a 30-year concession agreement with the Egyptian government, to develop, manage and operate Safaga Multipurpose Terminal on the Red Sea coast.
Beyond this AD Ports group continues to expand its footprint in the region through investments in port operations, integrated logistics hubs and maritime services.
