New research from Access PayWise+ indicates that the transport and logistics sector was among the weakest in the UK in 2025 for supporting employee financial wellbeing.
The study analysed references to more than 20 financial-wellbeing benefits in job advertisements across 30 UK sectors.
Logistics and transport ranked in the bottom tier in five of seven benefit categories: financial compensation and pay enhancements, insurance and protection, lifestyle support, health and wellbeing, family and parental benefits, retirement and savings, and work-from-home flexibility.
The sector’s poorest performance was in retirement and other long-term benefits, with only 0.53% of job ads mentioning this type of support.
Abhishek Agrawal at Access PayWise+ warned that companies offering limited packages are likely to experience lower workforce productivity and loyalty, as well as struggle to compete for new talent.
Although financial compensation and pay enhancements were the most commonly cited forms of support, uptake “uptake still remains low at 17.60% in recent job ads,” Agrawal added.
“Simple, low-cost steps such as cycle-to-work schemes, life assurance and earned wage access can help staff manage everyday expenses,” he said.
