Parcel delivery company Evri has announced a four-year extension to its contract with Vinted, a popular second-hand fashion marketplace.
Evri has been a key delivery partner for the Vinted marketplace since 2018. Evri says that during this time, both organisations have experienced ‘remarkable growth’, with parcel delivery volumes increasing by millions per year.
This follows data released in Evri’s inaugural UK Ecommerce Pulse report, which revealed that in 2024, nearly 30 million UK adults shopped online for pre-loved items.
The four-year contract extension will see Vinted customers benefit from Evri’s ‘growing network of ParcelShop and best-in-class dedicated locker locations’.
Evri itself has ambitious expansion plans, with the goal of delivering over 1 billion parcels and a further 1 billion business letters annually.
Vytautas Atkoičaitis, vice president of Vinted Go, commented: “At Vinted, we want our members to benefit from the most convenient and efficient shipping options.
“Expanding our partnership with Evri ensures that our UK members can continue to use its growing delivery network and its exciting new locker proposition, making it even easier to buy and sell second-hand items.”
This summer, Evri is set to become the first UK carrier to trial Vinted’s reusable packaging across a number of select locations in Evri’s ParcelShop network.
At these trial locations, Vinted users will be able to pick up Vinted reusable packaging when dropping off items in select Evri ParcelShops.
David Saenz, chief commercial officer at Evri, said: “We’ve been proud to partner with Vinted during what has been a transformative period of growth in pre-loved and e-commerce for both of our businesses.
“As we embark on the next chapter of our partnership, we are pleased to continue to grow together with customers of Vinted benefitting from access to what we expect will become the UK’s largest network of ParcelShops and lockers.”
The news of Evri’s extended partnership with Evri follows three ‘key strategic announcements’ by Evri: a proposed merger with DHL UK eCommerce; the acquisition of Coll-8, an independent customs clearance and logistics specialist in Ireland; and the launch of Evri’s new £50 million locker strategy.
Saenz added: “Following an investment of £50m over the next five years, we will grow our ParcelShop and locker presence to 25,000 locations by 2030. Our two businesses are perfectly placed to grow together as the pre-loved boom continues to drive increased demand for Vinted.”
