The US Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded Agility Defence and Government Services a contract to manage the receipt, warehousing and re-export of food aid and commodities.
The deal is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity award with a one-year base and four one-year options and is valued at $10 million (£6.1 million) per year.
Under the agreement, Agility will receive and store food aid at Jacintoport in Houston in preparation for shipment to Dijbouti Free Zone in Africa.
Agility can also be called on to provide regionally-based warehousing in Durban, South Africa; Lome, Togo; Mombasa, Kenya; and Colombo, Sri Lanka.
