Toll Global Forwarding (TGF) has named Graham Ward managing director of UK operations as part of a management reshuffle.
He replaces Eddie Stroud who takes up the role of chairman of the UK company, after 42 years in the industry.
Ward joined TGF forerunner, Clover Cargo International, in 1989 as an operations clerk at its Southampton facility.
After periods in both operations and international sales, a series of promotions led to his most recent post of general manager for the company’s Ocean division.
Elsewhere in the company, Lee Tebble, general manager, UK sales; Mark Kurzeja general manager, London region; and Edward Scott (UK manager, IT and quality) have all been appointed directors and members of the TGF UK board.
Peter Swallow will continue as TGF UK’s finance director and company secretary.
Chairman Eddie Stroud said: “These new appointments ensure continuity in the principles that have placed Toll UK in such a strong position throughout the recent turmoil in world trade. At the same time, they prepare our company for further growth and development in the future.”
