Land Rover has chosen Acumen Automotive Logistics to deliver finished vehicles from Gaydon in Warwickshire to dealerships throughout the south west of England.
The contract, for Land Rover’s “Zone 4”, was put out to tender earlier this year by Ford. When Ford sold Jaguar Land Rover to Tata it retained the outbound logistics contracts until the end of 2012.
Chris Doughty, Acumen’s managing director, said: “This is the second notable contract we have announced this year, which we have achieved through our ongoing investment in vehicles, equipment people and technology and our ability to provide flexible, high-class, bespoke solutions.”
