Packaging company Rexam Beverage Can has appointed Matthew Rowland-Jones UK recycling manager.
In the newly created role he will be responsible for initiatives to increase the recycling of beverage cans in the UK.
The UK is the largest can market in Europe, but has a relatively low can recycling rate.
Rowland-Jones has an extensive background in waste management and recycling within the UK local council arena. Most recently he worked as a project manager for AEA Technology, an environmental consulting company.
