Pets at Home has awarded a £1 million contract to Midlands-based Allports Group to supply vehicles for its distribution partner Downton Distribution.
Ten Renault Premium 460.25 6×2 tractor units will be decked out in the green Pets at Home livery. They will replace older vehicles, making the 35 vehicle fleet exclusively Renault.
Allports is supplying the vehicles with a three-year full repair and maintenance agreement, for which work will be carried out at the group’s Stoke on Trent service centre in Fenton.
Mark Sanders, Allports managing director, said: “As well as the vehicles and maintenance agreement, we will be supplying driver training and an opti-fuel manager package, which provides detailed information on all the aspects of vehicle and driver performance, ensuring cost-effective operation throughout the contract’s term.”
