Associated British Ports’ Port of Hull has signed a new ten-year agreement with Swedish shipping and terminal operator Ahlmark Shipping that will see over 200,000 tonnes of forest products, steel, and unitised cargoes, through the port each year.
ABP is investing some ÂŁ700,000 in improvement works to the Ahlmark Shipping terminal situated in King George Dock.
Håkan Thorell, Ahlmark Shipping’s managing director, said: “Our relationship with ABP has for several years been based on this notion. Our operations in Hull and our good business relationship with ABP constitute one of the cornerstones of our business. We are very pleased to be able to confirm our collaboration with ABP based on the recently signed agreements, and are looking forward to further developing our business activities in Hull in co-operation with ABP.”
