Independent freight and logistics company Simarco has chosen Burton-upon-Trent to be the site of its new depot, to reduce journey times for client shipments to and from Europe, and for access to the Palletforce network.
The depot sits on a 2.5 acre site, at Centre 38 business park at Barton-under-Needwood. It could be open for business as early as next month. Recruitment is already underway.
The hub is expected to play a significant role in the future expansion of Simarco, which posted record turnover of £22 million for the last financial year.
