Virgin Atlantic revenue up 39pc

Virgin Atlantic Cargo’s revenues are up 39 per cent to £224.4 million for the financial year 2010-2011.

Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas reported tonnage increases of 19 per cent, 13 per cent and 16 per cent, respectively, over the period.

John Lloyd, director of Virgin Atlantic Cargo, said: “Even in a year when air cargo volumes across the industry were recovering, this is a fantastic result.”
