Allied Bakeries, owner of bread brands Kingsmill, Allinson, Burgen and Sunblest has hired Jacquie Cahill as supply chain director.
Cahill will take up the role on 1st September, and will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations, including Project Athena, an investment initiative launched earlier this year, which aims to improve business performance.
She will report to company chief executive Mark Fairweather.
She had previously worked at Allied Bakeries as supply chain development manager between May 2005 and September 2007, before leaving to take on the role of global supply director at pharmaceutical giant, AstraZeneca.
Cahill replaces Paul Longley, who will be retiring from Allied Bakeries after 37 years of service at the end of September.
