Some 2.51 million goods vehicles travelled to Europe from Great Britain in the last 12 months, according to a report by the Department for Transport, three per cent more than the previous year.
The report “Road goods vehicles travelling to mainland Europe: Q2 2011” covers figures until the end of the second quarter of 2011.
Compared to the same period in 2006 the last year had 53 per cent more traffic to the continent, but 14 per cent less than the 2007 peak.
