Miele, the domestic appliance manufacturer, has awarded a three year contract to Ceva to handle outbound logistics and the distribution of white goods in South Africa, as well as their receipt, storage and assembly.
Ceva will manage all logistics activities through two warehouses located in Johannesburg and Cape Town, where 2,000 sq m will be dedicated to Miele’s goods. The logistics operator will also provide the customer with a dedicated fleet to meet its distribution requirements and to ensure on time delivery.
It will deliver goods to customers’ homes including connection and installation services for some of the appliances. It will also handle reverse logistics and disposal of old equipment in addition to services such as pick and pack, POD management and quality control activities.
