TNT hires de Groot
TNT Express has appointed Jan Ernst de Groot as general counsel and managing director external affairs.
de Groot previously worked for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in various management positions, including managing director and on the board of management.
Devonport promoted at Toll
Toll Group has made Grant Devonport group chief financial officer.
Devonport gained experience of finance, commercial, governance, strategy and business leadership through his five years with Toll and also as an executive at Village Roadshow and the National Australia Bank.
His previous role at Toll was divisional commercial manager for the Toll Global Resources Division which operates in Australia, Asia and Africa. Prior to that, he spent two years as the chief financial officer for Toll New Zealand where he played a key role in the sale process of the rail business.
Managing director elect Brian Kruger said: “In a career spanning more than
25 years, Grant has worked in senior roles in the UK and Europe as well as in Asia. He is a great example of the broad talent base we have developed within the company.”
Schopmeyer joins enVista
Transport and supply chain consulting firm enVista has taken on Davison Schopmeyer as a managing partner of the company’s Supply Chain Solutions team.
Schopmeyer brings over 20 years’ of supply chain consulting experience to the role, and has worked across the world. Most recently, he served as vice president at Manhattan Associates where he led several of that company’s professional service departments.
enVista senior managing partner Ken Mullen said: “He has experience with over a hundred warehouse management implementations, and has expertise across all facets of the supply chain including labour management, inventory management, and order management. We are extremely excited to have him join the enVista leadership team.”
