Norbert Dentressangle has opened a new, shared-user cold store at Miramas in the south of France, as part of its strategy to develop its temperature-controlled logistics business in Europe.
The 115,658 sq ft facility in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region provides chilled and frozen storage for 8,500 pallets on two levels, one underground. Its refrigeration system uses natural gas.
The Miramas site will serve around 85 customers, providing frozen storage and distribution services to some 1,500 delivery points from Perpignan to Monaco.
It is located close to Norbert’s existing cold store in Salon-de-Provence. Across the two sites it operates 160,000 cu m of frozen storage space over 21,000 sq m.
