Yusen Logistics (UK) has launched a direct weekly LCL service from Shanghai to Southampton.
It said the new service reflected high levels of demand in the market and follows on from its LCL service from Singapore.
With a Yusen managed de-van facility, Yusen can prioritise containers to meet customers’ requirements and has direct control over the release of cargo at destination. This allows immediate availability of stock upon receipt at Southampton and with customs clearance staff available seven days a week, the focus is on speed of service, as well as security.
