Gleeson Group, an Irish supplier and distributor of beverages, has contracted LPR to manage its 50,000 pallet movements a year.
Gleeson distributes brands such as Tipperary Water, Finches soft drinks, and wines, beers, ciders and spirits, from 11 distribution hubs around Ireland to convenience and supermarket retailers.
Paddy Tynan, general manager at its Borrisoleigh site, said: “We spent many years purchasing our own pallets and managing their journey through the supply chain to our customers and back again. We had looked at other pallet schemes but they seemed to lack transparency in their administration.”
