Ceva head for Iberia
Marco Galbusera has become managing director for Ceva’s operations in Iberia. He was previously facility management and procurement director for the Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa region, located in Milan.
Galbusera has has worked for CEVA since 2003 when he was technical services and real estate director in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, gaining additional responsibility for security in 2004 and procurement in 2006.
New president for Italian Logistics Association
Paolo Bisogni has been elected president of AILOG, the Italian Logistics Association. Bisogni has been chief executive of Sogenet since the 2000.
He has worked in the logistics service sector for many year and has carried out many optimisation, outsourcing, supply and IT projects. He is certified ECBL Master Logistician at a strategic management level.
Betteridge for Meachers
Meachers Global Logistics has appointed Dominic Betteridge sales executive. He has more than 16 years’ experience in international logistics and freight forwarding; having filled both managerial and business development roles with independent forwarders and corporate multinationals.
Taylor elected
Nigel Taylor, GXS global head of e-invoicing, has joined the executive committee of the European E-Invoicing Solutions Providers Association (EESPA).
Taylor was selected for his extensive e-invoicing expertise and proven commitment to advocating and supporting the widespread adoption of e-invoicing by engaging in public policy debate and recommending best practices within European forums.
New role for Berrill at Smurfit Kappa
Smurfit Kappa Recycling has appointed Matthew Berrill operations director with overall operational responsibility the company’s paper and board recycling collection business. He will oversee the production, logistical, environmental, quality, health and safety aspects of operations at the seven Smurfit Kappa Recycling depots located between Glasgow and Kent.
Berrill has worked within the packaging and containers side of the Smurfit Kappa Group for over 20 years, gaining experience in engineering and production roles before being appointed operations director of Northampton-based Smurfit Kappa Corrugated in 1999.
