SsangYong Motor UK has awarded a major new long term contract to Groupe CAT the contract to act as technical services provider in the Port of Bristol at Portbury.
CAT UK will look after the receipt, inspection and technical services preparation of all SsangYong cars arriving at the port, including vehicle preparation, accessory fitment and other services.
CAT UK will also be responsible for the customs administration using bonded warehouse facilities.
Paul Williams, chief executive of SsangYong, said: “With growing sales and an expanding dealer network, it’s vital that we get cars prepared to the highest quality standard and delivered to customers as quickly as possible. We are pleased to be working with CAT UK, and confident they will meet out service level requirements.”
Onward distribution including truck load preparation, nationwide planning and execution of UK-wide transport services will be carried out by CAT’s UK transport partner, Carlson Vehicle Transfer.
