Pall-Ex opened the doors of its central hub in Ellistown, to young entrepreneurs form local primary schools, to take part in a special workshop inspired by founder Hilary Devey’s BBC TV show Dragons Den.

The children, aged 10 and 11 created and pitched new products and services to a panel of Pall-Ex staff, which included managing director Adrian Russell, and operations director Fraser MacNeill.

Russell said: “The students had a great understanding of some quite complex business issues, including profit, production costs, distribution and USPs in comparison to competitors. With some of the talent that we witnessed at the session, many of these youngsters wouldn’t be out of place sitting alongside Hilary on the real panel in a few years’ time.”
