Eddie Stobart has moved into brand new offices in Appleton Thorn, near Warrington. The new 16 acre site is situated close to Junction 20 of the M6 and Junction 9 of the M56.
The new complex will comprise of; a two storey office complex, 145,000 sq ft of warehousing space, 220 trailer and 80 tractor unit parking bays, a maintenance workshop, re-fuelling facilities and a vehicle wash.
Appleton Thorn will replace the existing transport site at Kingsland Grange and the regional office at Haydock. It will offer a central control facility for Eddie Stobart’s general haulage fleet.
Chairman, Andrew Tinkler said: “Both our newly purchased Carlisle Airport and Appleton Thorn premises will become key sites for the future development plans of the company.”
The move is expected to be completed over the next few months with trucks operating out of Appleton Thorn by November 2006.
