The Freight Transport Association has appointed Chris Thornton as managing director, business services. Thornton will be responsible for the management and development of all FTA revenue earning services, including; the Vehicle Inspection Service, Tachofta, Shopfta and training.
Thornton joins FTA from Autoglass, where he was strategy and IS director after joining in 2001. Previously he held positions as development director and commercial director of RAC/Lex Autocentres, having joined Lex Service in 1993 prior to the purchase of RAC Motoring Services in 1999.
