The phone that scans barcodes

Barcoding.co.uk has launched a phone that offers barcode scanning with mobile, WiFi and Bluetooth communication.
The PDA-type phone incorporates a large liquid-crystal screen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
The device, made by Opticon, is called the H-16 and uses the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. Users can run mobile versions of  Word, Excel and Outlook as well as barcode data capture applications supplied by Barcoding.co.uk.
Derek Stainton, managing director of Barcoding.co.uk, said:  “The Opticon H-16 is the second generation of barcode scanning PDAs pioneered by Opticon which eliminate the need for costly purpose-made barcode scanners.”
