Swiss sports and footwear retailer, Dosenbach-Ochsner AG has deployed 100 Exotec Skypod robots at its logistics site in Luterbach, northwestern Switzerland.
The scalable robotic solution is designed to modernise intralogistics and support warehouse automation. It will help Dosenbach-Ochsner, part of Deichmann Group, meet sudden spikes in demand from nearly 380 stores across Switzerland while expanding its e-commerce presence.
The Skypod system was selected for its flexibility, with the technology capable of handling activity peaks with ease. The project installation was supported by management consultancy firm Miebach Consulting Switzerland.
Since going live, more than 100 Skypod robots have been operational, supplying picking and packing stations from approximately 174,000 storage locations, Exotec said.
Reportedly, the system is already exceeding Dosenbach-Ochsner’s expectations.
Following completion of the implementation, the system is already exceeding initial performance expectations.
“E-commerce places very different demands on logistics compared to traditional brick-and-mortar retail,” said Gregor Oberfranz, head of logistics at Dosenbach-Ochsner AG. “This is particularly evident when sudden spikes in demand need to be absorbed and processed at pace. With Exotec, we are fully able to meet that challenge.”
Exotec is exhibiting at IntraLogisteX 2026, the UK’s flagship logistics and supply chain event, which takes place on 18-19 March 2026 at the NEC Birmingham. For exhibitor information and visitor registration, visit the official event website at www.intralogistex.co.uk
