The newly formed EU expert group, European Union Research and Innovation for the Automotive Sector (EURIAS), has welcomed three logistics and transport organisations, ALICE, Einride and Gruber Logistics.
EURIAS is a group dedicated to the future of research and innovation in the European automotive sector, reportedly bringing together 60 organisations spanning car manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers, research and technology institutions, and universities.
The group supports the European Commission by providing practical expertise on research and innovation priorities across the automotive value chain.
In addition, it identifies key future topics that can strengthen the competitiveness of the European automotive sector.
The group will be working on a Strategic Research, and Innovation and Deployment Agenda (SRIDA) until June 2026.
The three new members will each draw upon their requisite expertise to provide unique perspectives that can propel the organisation towards its objectives.
ALICE will drive strategic research within EURIAS, building on its experience in major European initiatives such as 2ZERO, CCAM, the European Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Alliance (ECAVA).
Experienced in autonomous and zero-emission transport, Einride brings the perspective of next-generation truck technologies to the group.
And, through its participation, Gruber Logistics reinforces its commitment to actively shaping the future of the automotive sector at EU level.
