UK parcel delivery company Evri has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China-based integrated logistics provider, SF International, marking a deepened strategic partnership to strengthen cross-border e-commerce flows between the UK and China.
The MoU, signed at SF Express’ global headquarters in Shenzhen, marks a significant step towards greater collaboration between two companies.
Specifically, it will see Evri and SF International “explore opportunities to streamline cross-border shipping, improve service efficiency, and develop joint solutions to support retailers and consumers in the growing e-commerce market”.
Peter Huang, vice president of SF International explained that the collaboration is built around the synergistic potential of the two companies within the UK.
“Evri’s nationwide coverage and efficient fulfilment capabilities will provide critical support for SF International to deepen its local presence, while SF International’s global logistics strength will further enhance the cross-border service experience for Evri’s customers,” he said.
According to a statement, the two organisations plan to deepen cooperation in the UK, with the goal of “improving parcel processing efficiency and supply chain smoothness”.
The partnership will also look beyond China, with plans to assess further international markets, including the US and Australia.
“We’re delighted to build on our partnership with SF International through this Memorandum of Understanding, and this milestone reflects Evri’s commitment to expanding our global network and delivering even greater value to customers worldwide,” commented John Sansby, director of global partnerships at Evri.
Evri, now part of the newly formed Evri Group following its merger with DHL, delivers to more than 200 countries worldwide. Meanwhile, SF International ranks as the world’s fourth-largest logistics provider, operating a strong global network spanning international express delivery, supply chain management and cross-border e-commerce logistics.
Together, the companies expect the MoU to improve service and broaden their international reach.
