Amentum, GXO Logistics, Accenture and A.P. Moller–Maersk have formed a new alliance aimed at strengthening supply chain resilience across the UK defence sector.
The partnership, called Torus Defence Supply Chain, will focus on delivering integrated logistics, digital systems and procurement capabilities to support evolving defence requirements. The alliance is intended to help the UK defence sector adapt to the evolving threat landscape and build agile, resilient and integrated supply chain solutions.
Torus will combine the operational capabilities of the four companies across programme management, logistics operations, digital transformation and global freight movement.
Under the partnership, Amentum will lead programme integration and delivery, drawing on its experience supporting defence logistics and operations in the UK and USA. GXO will develop and provide logistics solutions, supported by its aerospace and defence network across more than 30 global sites. Accenture will lead the digital transformation element, while Maersk will provide global freight movement services across multiple transport modes.
