Richard Brentnall, group logistics director at Nomad Foods, will explain what global supply chains must fix before implementing robotics and AI at the Robotics & Automation Exhibition in Birmingham on 18 March.
During his session, ‘Automation Failed To Save us”– What Global Supply Chains Must Fix Before Robots and AI Can Deliver Anything’, Brentnall will set out practical ways companies can automate properly before implementing robotics.
In his talk, Bretnall will discuss:
- Why most automation programmes fail long before any robot arrives
- How to prepare planning, data, and operating models so automation can actually scale
- The leadership blueprint for delivering automation that improves service, cost, and resilience
As group logistics director at Nomad Foods, one of Europe’s leading frozen food companies, Bretnall oversees supply chain operations across 15 international markets. He has more than 23 years of international experience across FMCG, retail, and consumer sectors, holds an MEng, ASE, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Bretnall’s presentation forms part of a two-day Robotics & Automation Theatre agenda, which covers AI for robotics, flexible automation, robot manipulation, sustainability-focused robotics, among other topics.
The event is co-located with IntraLogisteX, the Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition and Fulfilment & Last Mile Expo. Together these exhibitions are expected to attract some 11,000 visitors from across logistics and supply chain, with more than 60 content-led sessions.
