Kier Property has announced that it has begun construction on a new Trade City development in St Albans.
The project will see the delivery of 55,000ft² of industrial space across 10 units, ranging in size from 4,349ft² to 6,555ft².
Located in the Brick Knoll Park Industrial Estate, just off Ashley Road, the site offers access to London, the M25, M1 and A1(M).
The development is being marketed by Colliers and Brasier Freeth and is expected to be available from May 2026.
Group managing director for Kier Property, Leigh Thomas, said: “We’re delighted to begin construction on Trade City St Albans, a scheme that aligns cutting-edge industrial design with sustainable, energy-efficient and flexible building practices.
“This development is a major investment in St Albans’ commercial future, offering occupiers a modern specification throughout, with the flexibility, connectivity and sustainability credentials they increasingly demand.
“We anticipate strong interest from future focused businesses ready to grow in a location that offers both prestige and performance.”
