Naylors Gavin Black has secured the letting of a 63,000ft² warehouse in Durham to Flooring Superstore, a flooring retailer relocating from Shildon.
Naylors Gavin Black was appointed as joint letting agent on the Durham scheme, named ‘Connect’, in September 2024, alongside CBRE and Avison Young.
Flooring Superstore will be consolidating operations from multiple smaller units at South Church Enterprise Park into a new facility at Connect.
The company hopes that the move will streamline operations and support the company’s planned expansion.
Three units remain available at the scheme, ranging from 43,000ft² to 298,000ft², the largest of which has 15-metre eaves, 25 dock-level and two level-access doors.
The development is expected to generate 4,000 jobs and inject £2 billion into the local economy over the next decade.
Head of agency at Naylors Gavin Black, Keith Stewart, said: “We are delighted to have secured Flooring Superstore who are a great addition to the development.
“For too long, the region has lacked well-located, high-quality industrial and warehouse space.
“The Connect scheme is successfully meeting that demand and we are seeing strong interest in the remaining units.”
