German real estate investor SICORE has acquired a Helsinki logistics facility from Urban Partners’ Nordic Strategies Fund 3 (NSF III) and Pontos Group.
Completed in summer 2025, the 15,000m2 (c. 161,000ft2) property currently serves as DHL Express’s main sorting centre in Finland.
The site can process more than 6,000 parcels per hour, with its airside-adjacent location allowing fast connection to runway and supporting efficient logistics.
The ‘Class A’ facility was also built with sustainability in mind, featuring a geothermal heating systems and solar panels.
This new asset represents a strategic addition to SICORE’s growing logistics portfolio, said Martina Averbeck, speaker of the management board of SICORE Real Assets. “Its proximity to the airport modern operational solutions enabling third-party adaptability and top ESG credentials align strongly with our long-term acquisition profile.”

DHL Express’ officially inaugurated its new €100 million (£87 million) gateway at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in September, representing the company’s largest investment in Finland to date. The hub handles international, European, national, and local parcels transport via air or road.
