Global e-commerce marketplace Temu has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Magyar Posta, Hungary’s national postal and logistics operator, to strengthen logistics cooperation across Europe.
The MoU sets out a framework for collaboration covering logistics services and seller support for both domestic and cross-border fulfilment, with scope to expand into additional European markets.
Under the agreement, local sellers will be able to manage shipments and returns via Temu’s seller portal, using the Magyar Posta Logisztika (MPL) network to serve customers in Hungary and other European markets. MPL’s services will include cash-on-delivery, prepaid parcel delivery, local-to-local delivery and out-of-home delivery options, Temu said.
The partners will also explore opportunities to enhance logistics services, network coverage and connectivity within Hungary.
“This cooperation supports our efforts to expand logistics services for e-commerce in Hungary and other European markets,” said Zoltán Menyhárt, director of sales and business development at Magyar Posta. “By working with Temu, we are extending the reach of our delivery and fulfillment network to support sellers and consumer deliveries.”
Temu opened its marketplace to local sellers across Europe in 2024, with Hungary joining the programme in early 2025. The company expects local sellers and local fulfilment to account for up to 80% of its European sales.
The agreement is part of a broader series of partnerships Temu has established with European postal and logistics operators as it scales its regional fulfilment capabilities. These include MoUs with the UK’s Royal Mail, PostNL in the Netherlands and France’s Colissimo.
