Temu, the global e-commerce marketplace, and Netherlands-based PostNL have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen their logistics collaboration in Europe.
Under the MOU, Temu will promote diversified delivery options, including PostNL’s automated parcel lockers network and pick-up and drop-off retail locations.
Additionally, PostNL will provide logistics solutions for Temu’s local seller programme. This will enable sellers to send their parcels more easily with PostNL in the Netherlands and with Spring Global Delivery Solutions (GDS) within Europe.
“PostNL is committed to strengthening the reliability, sustainability, and efficiency of e-commerce delivery across Europe,” said Tijs Reumerman, CEO of Spring GDS at PostNL.
Spring Global Delivery Solutions is part of PostNL Group that provides cross-border shipping, returns and e-commerce solutions.
“We continue to enhance the delivery experience for customers and businesses in the Netherlands and other markets,” Reumerman added.
Chinese-owned Temu entered the Netherlands in 2023 and opened its platform to local sellers in 2024. Since then, it has offered businesses in the Netherlands and across Europe a cost-effective channel to reach new customers and expand their operations.
“Through this partnership with PostNL, we aim to further improve the logistics experience for consumers and businesses across Europe,” commented a Temu spokesperson .
In October, Temu signed a MOU with La Poste’s parcel delivery arm Colissimo to enhance collaboration in France. In November, Temu signed similar deals with Austrian Post, Italiane Post, the UK’s Royal Mail and Belgium-based bpostgroup.
