UPS has expanded its air logistics hub at Incheon International Airport to increase processing capacity and speed up import deliveries into South Korea.
The upgraded facility, now covering nearly 6,400m² (c. 69,000ft²), is more than four times larger than the previous operation. It also features an automated sorting system that boosts hourly import processing capacity by 4.5 times.
UPS said the expansion enables faster delivery timelines, with shipments from across Asia Pacific cleared and delivered within one business day, and imports from Europe arriving within two business days. The expansion is designed to support growing demand for time-sensitive logistics across key industries including electronics, machinery and healthcare.
“Trade from Asia Pacific and Europe to South Korea has never been stronger,” said Bobby Seo, managing director, UPS Korea. “The increased processing speed from our expanded Incheon hub means we can now deliver imports to the Seoul metropolitan area on the same day they land.”
The facility also supports UPS’s healthcare logistics capabilities, with temperature-controlled storage ranging from -20°C to 25°C to support pharmaceutical shipments. South Korea imported around US$9.7bn (£7.2bn) in pharmaceutical products in 2025, according to data from the Observatory of Economic Complexity, with
The Incheon hub operates 56 flights per week, connecting South Korea to UPS’s global network spanning more than 200 countries and territories.
The expansion forms part of UPS’s wider investment strategy in Asia Pacific, following the opening of a major logistics centre in Taiwan in March.
