Hyster Europe has added a new series of AC pallet trucks to its warehouse range.
The P1.8-2.2 pedestrian-powered truck has been designed to deliver low cost of ownership, thanks to its durable design and low maintenance AC motor.
The 1.2kW AC traction motor provides increased acceleration, helping to optimise the number of loads moved per hour through variable performance settings.
Hyster aimed to maximise motor and control efficiency with MOSFET controls to ensure low energy consumption and increased battery shift life.
The polyurethane load wheels have been fitted to provide good traction in loading bays and production areas when surfaces and ramps are uneven, helping to provide a maximum travel speed of 6.0km/h with or without load.
The truck has also been designed to aid driver productivity, with features such as responsive butterfly switches for left and right handed operators and a creep control button to allow operators to manoeuvre the truck with an ergonomically designed tiller arm.
Uptime is also maximised with extended service intervals of 12 months or 1,000 hours.
In addition, CANbus technology allows continuous feedback and fast communications between components improving troubleshooting through the driver diagnostic interface and providing early warning of maintenance requirements. Serviceability is also enhanced by easy access to the motors and key components.
Robert O’Donoghue, general manager of Hyster Warehouse Products, said: “These robust Hyster pallet trucks can be configured to suit any application with different fork or load wheel options, onboard chargers and options for use in the cold store.”
