European truck operator Rutges Cargo has launched a secure express delivery service called Urgent for customers needing to move valuable, time and temperature-sensitive shipments in Europe.
The operator has invested in a fleet of small vans capable of carrying up to 1,400 kilos of product.
It has identified a need for an urgent service within the aerospace, pharmaceutical, high tech and luxury goods sectors.
The service is being rolled out in phases, starting in Amsterdam, followed by the Netherlands and ultimately across Europe.
Bart Waals, sales executive for Rutges Cargo, said: “The launch of this service is initially to satisfy existing customers that require a fast and secure, small van operation but we also see considerable potential beyond just our current client base.
“Urgent combines all of the features that underpin our other transport services, including GPS tracking and onboard computers to ensure the security of the shipments we are carrying.”
