Rangemaster, the UK manufacturer of cookers, sinks and accessories, has selected Gefco to manage the European distribution of a number of its products.
Gefco undertakes Rangemaster’s distribution into and across France and is currently involved in trialling distribution into Germany.
The operation involves Gefco collecting products from Rangemaster’s distribution centre in Leamington Spa which is then cross-docked at Gefco’s Coventry hub before being shipped directly to Valenciennes, Gennevilliers, Mulhouse and Toulouse for national distribution across France.
In addition, Rangemaster’s own fleet of vehicles will deliver directly to Gefco depots in Gennevilliers and Lyon for the company to then continue national distribution of products across France.
For Germany, Gefco will collect once a week from the Leamington Spa depot and delivers to its German hub in Wuppertal for distribution across Germany.
Rangemaster’s logistics manager Ken Jones said: “As we enter new markets, it is essential that we work with a logistics provider that offers us a reliable and efficient service. Gefco’s expertise in European distribution, in addition to the strength of its networks across the region, has proved to be invaluable as we expand our business.”
