Dow Building Solutions has chosen Jack Richards & Son to distribute insulation products nationally from its manufacturing plant in King’s Lynn.
Dow’s product range includes Styrofoam blue extruded foamed polystyrene insulation, Great-Stuff polyurethane foam sealant, Froth-Pak polyurethane foam spray systems.
The high frequency contract demands careful traffic planning and an ultra-reliable fleet of trucks. Dow’s site logistics co-ordinator, Keith Creed, said: “With so many vehicle movements, it’s critical we have a dependable transport partner. Our own customers in the building and construction industry demand reliability – we simply can’t afford any delays.”
A principal customer is Sheffield Insulations which supplies of insulation and related products to the construction industry from a network of 30 branches around the country. “Sheffield Insulations, like all our customers, see Jack Richards & Son as our representative out on the road,” continued Creed. “They are carrying more than simply our products, they are carrying our reputation, too. The Jack Richards team is exceeding our expectations, and is quick to respond to the ever-changing distribution requirements we impose on the traffic schedule.”
Richards is a partner, along with Knowles Transport and Garn Transport, in Wisbech Roadways, which handles the huge Premier Foods distribution account.
