Wincanton has signed extended its relationship with petroleum and industrial gas suppliers Chevron and Air Products in deals worth £112 million.
Chevron has been working with Wincanton for the past 17 years, with the latest contract extension worth £60 million over three years.
Wincanton will continue to carry out operations from the company’s network of YK terminals, transporting more than nine billion litres of fuel over the lifetime agreement to Texaco-branded petrol stations.
The 3PL carried more than three billion litres of fuel and travelled 15.6 million kms for Chevron in 2009.
The Air Products deal is worth £52 million over three years and sees Wincanton continuing to carry bulk liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon and hydrogen gas for the manufacturing industry and for the growing medical market.
Wincanton will operate 60 road tanker vehicles using 120 drivers working around the clock to deliver 80,000 tonnes of gas every month from seven Air Products terminals in the UK, making some 100 deliveries a day.
