Constellation Wines is hanging on to top spot in the Fresh Connection logistics strategy game as it enters its penultimate week.
Round Five of the Fresh Connection closed last week with Constellation Wines securing a ROI of 16.7 per cent, with the vast majority of teams seeing an improvement in performance. It is the third week running that Constellation has led.
Some 150 supply chain professionals are competing in the 2010 Fresh Connection and are currently considering their strategy for round six.
Results from this round onwards hold greater weighting towards the final scores, with the winner ultimately announced following three live rounds at the final event at Wroxall Abbey on 8th July.
John Perry, managing director at SCALA, competition’s UK hosts, said: “As the teams enter round six, their logistics strategies for the virtual fruit juice company, Fresh Connection, are well developed and their performance acts as a good training tool for developing successful supply chain networks in the real world.
