Lincoln based online retailer The Cheese Society has chosen NetDespatch IT to revamp its online delivery service.
The software streamlines admin, and allows integrated automatic parcel shipping and label printing. The web site can now offer customers email alerts on despatch, a tracking facility and full proof of delivery.
The company sells selections of cheese to more than 1,000 customers across the UK. Director, Kate O’Meara said: “The NetDespatch solution has freed up our time to focus on customer service. It is easy to use and allows us to book collections and automatically print the labels at point of despatch with any personal messages and special delivery instructions. All the information is held centrally and there is no need to duplicate any of it.”
After despatch, cheese selections are sent out via APC Overnight. “Because independent couriers that place high value on customer service run the network, we can rely on it to deliver on time, every time. One customer even reported that the driver walked through deep snow across two fields at 7 pm to deliver a parcel.” said O’Meara.
